Just thought i'd share these pictures with you all: uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/preludedragon/album?.dir=5e9b&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//uk.photos.yahoo.com/ph//my_photosand uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/preludedragon/album?.dir=e516&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//uk.photos.yahoo.com/ph//my_photosThis was a tour during the summer with some mates for a couple of weeks. Just goes to prove that Touring is possible on the Z1000...although i'm glad ive got my Zero gravity taller screen now ...and a new seat will be a modification at some point in the future. I toured around the North Berwick, Newcastle, Whitby, Scarborough, Lake District, then around Scotland, Glasgow, Oban, Fort William, Glencoe, Isle Of Skye, Inverness and Loch Ness and up to John O' Groats

So, after a verbal spanking from preludedragon - any tips for kitting out my Z750 for a spot of touring?
Cheers

Ive got the double bubble screen from zero gravity on my Z1000 (got it since touring) i got it from demon tweeks: www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/ although i'd recommend calling them rather than ordering online heres the alternative sports touring screen from zero gravity other manufactures make some aswell such as ermax: www.ermaxuk.co.uk/or puig and many others, including kawasaki's own versions (the vario screen etc) You may find Z750 specific screen quite rare, but from my knowledge what people commonly do is buy screens designed for the Z1000 and mount them by drilling four holes into the fairing. As you can see in photo's i linked in my post soft luggage fits fine. I got the official kawasaki luggage set made by oxford because i got them cheap from e-bay. The only advice i would give regarding this is to practice there fitting with your bungees as i had a "bungee incident" that resulted in my hugger being displaced and worn away partly by the rear tyre after my early attempts at fitting when i had a spider web of bungees underneath:-/ I can fit them fine now and only require two bungees for a secure fitting ;D I suppose the only other adaption you may wish to consider too would be a replacement aftermarket seat such as baglux/bagster, corbin or sargeant Good luck mate and happy touring

Good to see a Z1000 being used for touring. I have to work in Germany a few times a year and my Z has been with me on three trips. Thats about 800 miles in one day and I have had no problems, I did however get a new screen it helps. You are right about the seat it can be a bit hard but I have no good reason to change it.
