Hi, just put a deposit down on a black 03 z1000 going for £3500. ;D
It was on Ebay and had no bids on it, as it's starting price was £4100. I had already contacted the seller before the auction ended and told him he wouldn't sell it for that price and had no reply for over a week until this weekend.
I would like to post a picture on this forum of the bike but I don't know how? it has a huge givi top box on it that I don't want and also a very comfy seat with red pin striping and z1000 in red on it I think it's a corbin one? Don't want that either but I would be intersted in swopping it for a standard red Z1000 seat and a black seat cowl? Is that reasonable?

I was watching that auction but didn't think it was worth £4100 either. Not bad for £3500 though. I didn't like the seat.
How much do you want for the top box?

original seat (red) and a cowling.
I have no idea of the cost of these items but I suspect the bagster seat is pretty expensive?

Yes I think so. the paint work looks very sparkly in the sunlight. And I love the red bits!
I might sell the belly pan too,not sure yet though as I won't get the bike until next week

I saw that auction too, I also sent an email and asked him about the seat, if he wanted to sell seperatly. It is a bagster seat from the seatster range, and they cost £250 new, I now because I have been looking into various seat options lately , even tried sorting out a corbin seat group buy.
Original Kawasaki front seat is about £170 list and seat cowling £85 list, so overeall aboout the same sort of price as the seatster, and I would imagine total second hand prices to be similar too.
My bike is orange so the red stitching wouldnt go that well but I thought I might get a deal. But hey ho, looks like I will end up having to gey my seat remade and covered else where, as cant afford £250-£300 just on a seat.
bikermike, I live just down the road @ Havant, wanna meet up for a blat at some point?

No I am actually going camping with friends down at Charmouth, and wife is taking me to Moto GP next weekend so may be in a couple of weeks we could go out, I can intoduce you to a couple of my upstanding law abiding citizen friends , they are of course mostly imaginary so a couple of my mates will have to do, and we can all go play. Drop me a line when you get the bike. ;D

Sounds like fun I went to Donnington last year and it pissed down all the way there all the time I was there and all the way back. The facilities were crap and it took 2 hours to get out on a bike! Never again! Probably be great if it was sunny! Let me know at a later date and we can go for a blast!
