Hi George I think Planemakes has the most different looking exhaust i have ever seen on a Z. Looks like the front half of an Akropovic with the back part Harris. And after seeing your G Force cans i want to shorten my Micron as the scilencer is too long by a good six inches. I wonder if Planemaker wants to seel me the bit he removed from his Akropovic System ?. I too like the Blue Z and have not seen one in the flesh yet. Regards Rick

Hi Rick, Your right, the front part of the system is Akropovic, but as I knew I wanted the harris end can, I only bought the front pipe! Sorry....got no spare bits left! Like the forks.......you notice any difference? Philc has got his fitted, they look the part, but have yet to find out if they actually improve the handling?

Hi Planemaker The forks make a huge difference. much better feedback from the front end. I can now use far more throttle on bumpy backroads without being airbourne most of the time or worrying about needing a damper. It's very hard to explain the difference in feel. It just feels like it should have come from the factory. & i'm in love the brakes although i think i need new discs as mine feel a little warped (they felt like that from almost new). Much less dive when on the brakes. It's well worth doing the conversion if you like corners but probably pointless if you don't live near any twisty roads. It would cost £200 - £400 to buy the bit neded to add damping to the left fork on the Z1000 & get them revalved by pros like Maxton etc. The front end complete with radial brakes & a brand new mudguard has not quite gone that far and only left me off the road for 3 days (would have been straight swap if i had known the mudguard needed to change too for 2005 (C1h) forks. But i gambled that Kawasaki would have evolved the forks over the 2003-2004 forks which get some criticism on mid corner feel. In my view Kawasaki would rarely make a step backwards on something that was shown up in nearly every review of the ZX6R B1h so they should have fixed the problems. They seem to work great for me and have transformed my lack of confidence in the front tyre. Regards Rick
