A bit sooner than i expected as i was pulling my supermoto to pieces for some cleaning and servicing and, found the generator cover has corroded (the bike hasnt even seen wet weather and got used this (last year) less than a dozen times so in the interest of the thread for coating (although its not kwak related) ill put up the pics to show the quality of the coating. And, the other stuff will be the exhaust, and a few other bits and pieces (from the zed), although im toying with the idea of taking the subframe off and getting that done in black...pics to follow..it wont be getting pulled apart til next weekend so, a few days away...
As i said in the other thread its getting on a bit now (into its 5th year) but, ive got no plans to sell. On the whole its weathered well, ive got a bit of paint chipped off around the swingarm (shock end) im presuming where theres been debris from the road hitting it...no biggie but plan to sort it out at a later date. Ill be saving that for when the motor comes out for a strip down (and, maybe get the frame done also/as well)

Notice the paint on the supermoto generator cover....the supermoto has seen literally half a dozen trips and nothing in the rain since that was put on...I think ktm is almost as bad as ducati...   |

Pickup on Sunday....if anyone is in the South West the lad i use is Dave at Techcoat (Rooksbridge in Somerset). You can drop stuff round his house quite literally any time of the day and pick up whenever you want to. Everything you saw in the first photo cost 130 (blast and paint). He started off (or should i say specialized in firearms) - when i contacted him he'd never done any bike parts before (just guns) but since ive started using him and recommended him on the Ducati forum he now does bike stuff. Coating an engine at the moment i think....
When the next oil change comes ill be dropping the sump out and getting that coated.

Just to add, as i picked the coating up he told me it needs to cure (stand) til wednesday so, ill probably not get it fitted til the weekend. Itll be coming apart in a couple of months time to drop the sump as that needs doing along with the water pump cover (just waiting on some info from Trebor) on whats behind it. Depending how much space ive got i may remove the sub frame also....

Well, its been a week of wet roads and no rain.....early mornings, gritted, wet roads with loads of spray. Ive ridden the zed all week and let it get really covered.....the salt has not affected the newly installed pipes atall. More than happy with the results. As i say, planning to get the sump and a few more parts done next....including the rear speed sensor ring.
