Well...i went, i looked, i saw....nope - even with the power available- i cant justify the purchase...bike of the show for me was the 1290r - absolutely beautiful...the MV's: prettier but not as industrial....no one was available from Kawasaki to take any verbal abuse...they all literally hovered round the central table...here come the pics...

I had a demo run on one a while back while my bike was in for it's first service.
It's a helluva bike, but I'm happy for now. Maybe sometime in the future.

Nope to mv,my mate had 1 spent more time with mv than he had it to ride, and the luck Liam camia had with it... Triumph, mmm. Not for me. And as for the buttfuck ugly z1000 H2 I saw one 2 weeks ago with all the extras, with no miles on it. It was the guy who own completely motorbikes, but even in the flesh,it was so ugly that if it was a kid it would have to face the wall,so as not to put me off my food.... Not for me the Aprilia turono is nice but it Italian. Japanese bikes for me,and in order would be Kawasaki, Suzuki,honda.. Yamaha I would go without than have one of those.. they stopped making good bikes in 1999/2000... But up to the individual I guess, but I'll keep my z1000.....

having a good look at it it aint never gonna be a gen 4 but a lot can be done to improve the looks and a new rear shock will be a must looking at the oem.. of course the cannon will have to go but that goes without saying, but i have 1 new bike left in me before i hang up my boots and after sitting on one and actualy being able to nearly put 2 feet down flat...unlike the Superduke im leaning towards one..

No denying the power of the thing but....for someone my age 200hp+ im not going to use....this is only me though and to a certain extent i dont even think the bike can as the electronics keep it all in check....having said all that - id still love a superduke..!
With regards to the looks Rob....stock yeah...ugly duckling but im really intereted to see what you do with yours (should you go for it)

I would buy the ktm 1290r superduke would be for me,it's a much, much better looking bike... If I can't open my garage and be happy with what I see, there's no point in it... It's not all down to power... don't want Buttfuck ugly looking at me...

This was my impression of being on a ZH2 for a couple of hours last month. I had my bike's first service today and since dealers can't treat us to free coffee and stuff, mine handed me the keys of a ZH2 and told me to piss off for a couple of hours. Let me start by saying,What an engine. I'll probably say it a few time more. A lovely comfy bike, footrests much lower than my own and as happy around town as either munching miles or being silly. It's very easy to be silly on this bike. Everything is fine until about 8k on the tacho, then my brain stopped keeping up. No powerband or big step, just a linear, massive rush of power. Weather was a bit mizzly, though the roads seemed ok,but I was genuinely fearful that the rear tyre may not cope. It did. Diablo Rosso 3 jobbies. I was impressed. The headlamp cowling and little flyscreen did a surprisingly decent job of deflecting wind blast, just as well considering the numbers this thing is capable of attaining and how fast it happens. Suspension coped well enough with a range of roads. The rear felt pliable without being soft and only on the worst roads did the forks feel a bit harsh. Nothing to kick it out of bed over. I didn't fiddle with any of the dash options,I'd need to go to feckin' night school for that. It was set to full power mode and by god it felt like it. Most folk have an opinion on the looks and aside from the carbuncle of a can,I quite like it. Anyway, bollox to all that. What an engine. Would I own one? Yes I would, but I'll qualify that with the need to budget for service costs.
